Riverwood Christian Communities

Through two residential facilities and an independent living program, CCFH offers residential alternatives to assist residents in achieving their highest level of independence. The staff guides each resident to develop social skills, personal care skills, and spiritual growth. Each resident maintains a job in either the community or a sheltered workshop and weekly church attendance is encouraged so residents learn and grow in their spiritual lives.

Facilities
CCFH Ministries maintains two residential facilities for adults with developmental disabilities.  Riverwood Christian Communities I & II are located on a beautiful lakeshore in a private setting just south of Knoxville, Tennessee. The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities has licensed them as boarding homes for twenty residents.

The residents and staff are a family. In these two buildings, the residents eat in one large dining room; and share the living room, laundry, and recreational spaces. To encourage independence, they decorate their private rooms as they desire. They also assist in setting goals for their lives. Working with them to help them achieve their goals, the staff focuses on providing the support each individual needs to accomplish as much independence as possible.
